THE TELLURIDE FILM FESTIVAL

For nearly forty years, Hollywood has come to Telluride at the beginning of each September during a week that utterly transforms our small mountain town into another world altogether. Lovers of film journey to Telluride each year from all over the world to see some of the next year's most prominent and critically acclaimed films. Just one example: an as yet unfinished director's cut of 'Slumdog Millionaire' premiered at Telluride in 2008 and proceeded to win the Oscar for best picture. Every year is another treat for moviegoers both well-known and anonymous at the Telluride Film Festival, and celebrities can be seen frequenting the restaurants and coffee shops around town without any to-do at all.
